Derek Mason

Derek started his commercial property life as an Associate Partner with London based Chartered Surveyors Smith Melzack. He was responsible for acquisition, sales, rent review and valuation work for their industrial and out of town retail clients.
In 1987 he established Mason Drage Chartered Surveyors, a firm that specialised in out of town retail acquisition for Office World and a wealth of other National clients throughout the UK. In addition to this he advised on radio base station sites for T-Mobile UK Limited as well as most of the nationally known telecoms operators. Derek was one of the first surveyors to see work opportunities in the emerging mobile telecoms business sector and together with the Telecoms operators, worked to develop and build their radio base station networks.

Peter Hayward
Partner
Peter has worked for more than 30 years in the property industry. Starting his career in residential estate agency in 1984, he soon became area sales manager for a North London Estate agency chain before moving to Fairview New Homes, a major London and Home Counties residential development company as a land buyer. Peter was promoted to director level in 2003 and in the years spent at Fairview has covered all aspects of new development and refurbishment. Today Peter uses his extensive technical experience on the technical and planning aspects of properties we are appointed on as well as general management, Maintenance programmes together with undertaking full due diligence appraisals and viability for our Banking Clients. Peter has experience on all types of property ranging from commercial and residential investment portfolios, development land, and often partially implemented residential and conversion development sites.
